We have two dogs, two cats, a red-eyed green tree frog named Pixel and a daughter in college. Tom has a "punny" sense of humor. We love sunsets and hot fudge sundaes and embrace the "'Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the number of moments that take your breath away" philosophy! We appreciate the world around us and embrace the challenge of interpreting what our eyes and heart see via the camera lens. Nature photography (birds, landscapes, flowers) also gives us a chance to appreciate the "everyday miracles" that surround us.We love to take photographs! Photography gives us superpowers, lol, we can freeze time. We cherish the fact that we can create photographs for lasting memories. We treasure both two-legged and four-legged children :-)
We specialize in decorating homes with portrait, nature, and urbex art galleries. We enjoy taking "straight" photographs, and creating ART from our photographs, both allow us to capture the moment as our mind's eye sees it.
We also teach creative photography and post-processing. We appreciate that "in camera" capture is only part of the story and we are also very skilled in post-processing, we enjoy all parts of the digital workflow and enjoy teaching it to others. We have taught workshops pertaining to: Using your DSLR, creating slideshows with Pro Show Gold and Animoto, HDR, digital workflow, travelling with your camera, bird and nature photography, flash photography, portrait photography, beginner, intermediate and advanced Photoshop, Lightroom, Plugins, and we have presented travel and nature showcases. We also give photography programs to clubs and groups.

We are passionate about our photography (we even met in a camera club). We have presented programs at MANY camera and nature clubs across the New England region. Tom and I also judge photographic competitions, teach various photography and post-processing workshops, have had several successful gallery exhibitions of their work, had photographs in Adirondack Life, Birder's World, Wild Bird, the WCC wolf calendar and on the cover of paperback novel. Tom and I have been photographing since we were teenagers. Tom has had this photography business since his daughter was a toddler. I joined Tom in 2001, we got married in 2004 and together we have taken our photography to a higher level. A few years later we moved our portrait photography into a formal Studio space on Dixwell Ave so we could have dedicated space for photographing newborns, children, families, maternity, models, etc. Within two years we outgrew our small Studio and moved downstairs to a larger suite where we are now. We have been having a blast in our Studio! The name for our business (BREA) came from Breanna, Tom's daughter.
